AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, June 30 (TIWN): Tripura former Chief Minister, Politburo member Manik Sarkar has slammed the BJP led Central Govt over fuel price hikes nationwide, calling the move as “Inhuman†way to “Exploit†the people. Reacting over a continuous hike in petrol, diesel prices, the former Chief Minister said that when country’s people are suffering in major economic crisis and dupes, the Centre chose to increase fuel price, but very surprisingly, when worldwide, the prices are downing, in India it is increasing. “Due to lockdown situations, the uses of fuel declined at the international markets slipping the prices of fuel at the same time and it was hoped that in India also, it will now decrease. But what happened is just the opposite of the expectation. In India, the fuel prices have been hiked massively. When such crisis situations are going on, rise in fuel price is nothing but exploitation of peopleâ€, said Manik Sarkar.
Sarkar further mentioned, only understanding the matter is not enough. At central level also CPI-M has decided that this thing can’t be allowed like this.
Manik Sarkar further accused the Modi Govt for tricking to suppress public voice in the name of Lockdown when BJP Govt is making all anti-people decisions and unready to listen to anyone.
