AGARTALA / TELIAMURA, June 30 (TIWN): Assam-Agartala National Highway which is left in deplorable situation as the road has turned risky after thieves looted the bricks from the road, TIWN had highlighted the issue in website and social media. Hence in a positive outcome, the local administration has taken action on that and road repairing is proceeding, but the culprits behind this incident is beyond clue of the authority. This immediate action was necessary as, anytime the connectivity by the National Highway (NH-8) may stop due to this criminal activity of brick theft. Mungiakami block’s Vice Chairman Bikash Debbarma is keenly observing this work.In this monsoon, the situation could be worsened due to the pathetic roadways conditions. Various roads in the state are already left in miserable conditions in Tripura due to lack of maintenance.
Administration’s attention sought in Kumarghat-Pecharthal route : Like Teliamura, Pathetic condition of National Highway (NH-8) was reported by TIWN on Thursday in Kumarghat-Pecharthal route, causing massive suffering to the common men everyday.

Reports say that the present condition of NH-8 (earlier NH-44) from North Pabiacherra of Kumarghat to Pecharthal which is the life line of Tripura is now in miserable condition and due to few splashes of rains the situation is more worsened. Daily goers are majorly victimized of the situation and with the monsoon onset, there are high chances of risk-increasing on the national highway specially for the two wheelers.
