AGARTALA, June 1 (TIWN): Tripura Police again under storms of controversy after a lady police official Meena Debbarma was seen tussling with a 50+ aged woman member of the CPI-M, injuring her by stretching her forcefully to detain in a bus picking up from CPI-M’s silent protest. The display of brutality against her mother-aged member of a party who was doing just silent protest, was condemned massively in social media. The CPI-M’s protest on Monday was silent, by displaying few banners in protest against Crime-Against-Women. The tussle among Police and Opposition party was unprecedented and police force was "unnecessary" as the programme was under social-distancing.

The protest was also as a part of agitating against alleged fabricated case against CPI-M Youth members with allegation of assaulting a woman, whereas in reality CPI-M youths were injured, taken to hospital after BJP held attack on CPI-M’s blood donation camp at Ramnagar High School on Sunday. 

Thus, one senior CPI-M  woman member was injured, her heart beat went high after a young lady police officer led by other police officials attacked all of a sudden in CPI-M’s woman wing’s silent protest. The attack was seen in live telecasts. She was taken for medical checkup as her health downed further. 

She was seen stretched to bus for making her arrest and after she denied to go for arrest she was further stretched and injured in her feet in that tussle. Although, she was screaming in pain, the young lady police official was pressuring her by holding her tightly.

Police’s action looked totally illegal, unnecessary use of force when the women’s wing of CPI-M was protesting silently with social distances. On the other side, on yesterday’s BJP led attack in DYFI’s blood donation camp, not a single person was arrested.
