AGARTALA, June 1 (TIWN): Tripura's Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath's previous promises failed to charm public, as his much hyped 14,000 vacant posts now resulted in abolition of posts. The Education Ministry of Tripura, after closing 961 schools’ decision across the state now have come out with another shock, as the department has decided to terminate 3103 teaching posts.Once in a speech Ratanlal Nath said, "I am ready with 14,000 posts to give jobs, but no one is there to take." Ironically Tripura topped in unemployment rate among the other states of India and TET qualified youths left joblessTripura’s unemployment rate has been always high but before assembly election the BJP had promised to fill up 50 thousand vacant posts in first year and 7 lakhs within three years.Instead of doing so, they are closing hundreds of schools across the states, terminating posts now and then, decreasing the chances of getting jobs for unemployed youths.
BJP before voted to power, promised about giving 50,000 Govt jobs in first one year but ended by not even 2000 jobs in 1st year.
In the same way, the jobless 10323’s former teachers have continued agitation demanding livelihood but the BJP Govt could not find out any solution for them yet. Indeed, BJP Govt’s role remained just opposite of their pre-election roles.
