AGARTALA, Feb 27 (TIWN): Amid 32.7% unemployment rate existing in Tripura, Chief Minister Biplab Deb while addressing in Agartala Book fair has claimed that Tripura has no more large unemployment rate due to various job creators were created in last 23 months. When nationally Tripura tops in unemployment and the rate has increased triple in last 2 years in compare to the previous Left Govt, CM on Wednesday at the Book Fair said that earlier unemployment rate was huge in Tripura but now only 1.77 lakhs after a massive reduction from around 7 lakhs. Deb was slammed in social media for his lies on employment rate. Moreover, not directly, but almost directly Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb called Govt job seekers as “Kangal” which is a Bengali word means poor practically and mentally.

CM said, he is happy that people of Tripura is no more having a that set of mind, neither reputation is like before. Here youths have become job creators and thus state is freed from “Kangaalipona”.

Earlier also CM insulted Govt jobs seekers many times, calling Govt employees are burdens for a Govt.

“Earlier, whenever people talked about Tripura, they used to slam Tripura calling them Kangal but today I am proud that Tripura is no more Kangal but people are dedicated to work and engaged in job creations”, said CM.

Amid 32.7% unemployment rate existing in Tripura, CM said only 4.5% unemployed youths remained in state. He said out of 6.45 lakhs 1.77 are remained workless.

However, Tripura tops in unemployment and the unemployment rate has increased not double but triple under BJP-IPFT Govt. 

Earlier also the Chief Minister came under massive controversy when suggested youths to rear cows, open paan shops to become self-dependent. He also said, he will buy cows in CM’s quarter to cite examples, although he forgot his claim.

BJP before Assembly Election 2018 promised to give 50,000 Govt jobs in first one year if voted to power.
