AGARTALA, Feb 24 (TIWN): CPI-M leaders on Monday have placed a deputation to the DGP incharge Rajib Singh at Police Headquarter against the ongoing attacks on the opposition throughout the state.

CPI-M delegates told the DGP that even after broad day light attacks, no action was taken against the criminals and thus the criminals are freely moving across state.

Addressing media, Jitendra Choudhury has condemned BJP’s Dharmanagar MLA’s (Biswabandhu Sen) role on such attacks.

Jitendra Choudhury said, “A person holding a constitution post is doing these violences. Had police taken proper action in time, then such incidents would not took place again and again. It can be assumed that Dharmanagar has become a crime zone where broad day light attacks are going on, even girls are not safe. Uncountable numbers of FIRs left without any action. However DGP has assured that next time such incidents will not happen and action will be taken based on the FIRs pending without investigation”.

CPI-M also raised question why opposition is not getting permission for rallies whereas BJP is doing all violence in broad day light.

Jitendra Choudhury also talked about a criminal in South Tripura who allegedly committed 100 crimes in the South Tripura.
