AGARTALA, Feb 22 (TIWN): Amid massive DA pending of the Govt employees, Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma, who is also holding the portfolio of Finance, has assured the State Govt employees on Saturday that BJP led State Govt is positive to all the demands. He was addressing at State Engineer Association programme at Muktadhara auditorium, Agartala when said so. Mentioning existing financial distress, Jishnu Debbarma said that unlike West Bengal, Gujarat Tripura’s financial condition is not so strong but the door is not close after 2.57 was given. It can be mentioned here that giving 7th Pay Commission was a promise of not the State BJP but it was promise of Central BJP Govt and Vision Document was unopened by none other than, the then Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. Before Election Amit Shah said that in the first cabinet meeting 7th pay commission will be implemented once the BJP to be established in power.

Also in Vision Document 7th Pay Commission provision was promised whereas like many other promises this promise was ended by 0.32 factor hikes. However, it was believed before election as PM Modi promises to chug “Double Engine” to fulfill all dreams of Government employees. No DA was given to a major section of employees since BJP assumed power.

TIWN is the first media categorically predicted that State Govt Employees won't get the benefits of 7th CPC in 2018 because BJP-IPFT Govt led by Biplab Deb failed to get required funding from Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley or PM Narendra Modi. So without required funds of Rs 20,000 crores for 5 years (Annually approx Rs 4000 crores), it is impossible to implement 7th CPC. As a result, Biplab Deb chosen to play JUMLA card by engaging Verma Committee delay game tricks, waste of Lakhs of Taxpapers money on Verma Committee in past 7 months. So finally Biplab Deb announced a meagre 0.32 Factor hike in Oct’2018 over already 2017’s hike 2.25 Factor which was implemented by CPI-M CM Manik Sarkar.

In 2017, Manik Sarkar implemented Pay revision of 2.25 Factor hike of State Govt Employees, now Biplab Deb fooled Tripura by naming it 7th CPC, hiked a meagre 0.32 Factor totaling to 2.57 Factor, which is much lesser than the 7th Pay Commission Central Govt Pay scales.

So the question raises, why Biplab Deb needed P.P.Verma committee ? Just to play delay games & JUMLA ?

Modi, Amit Shah, Sunil Deodhar, Biplab Deb said in all Pre-Election rallies that 7th Pay Commission will be given to all Tripura’s 2 Lakhs Govt employees on March 4,2018 immediately after winning Election on March 3,2018.

However, as a matter of eyewash all the BJP Ministers in the Cabinet are now trying to divert the attention of the employees and pensioners with a pay revision of merely 2.57 hike from Manik Sarkar era’s 2.25 factor that is only 0.32 factor hike.
