‘Journalists shouldn’t question our Govt first 5 years, they may do in 2nd term of our Govt’ : Tripura Minister

AGARTALA, Feb 14 (TIWN): Thousands of people lost their houses in BJP’s political fire, everyday violence are going on, massive election rigging took place and will take place in coming days also, opposition’s voice suppressed, social media users arrested, opposition MLAs were attacked in broad-day light, Free-Medical-Services scrapped from Govt hospitals, thousands of people lost their jobs, misuse of police machinery and deaths police/jail custody are some of the jobs done by BJP in last 23 months but Law Minister Ratanlal Nath here said that journalists should not question the Govt in the first term.

Ratanlal Nath while addressing media at Secretariat on Thursday said, “Media should ask question to a Govt only after 5 years are completed. We are in the Govt only for 23 months, not 23 years”.

He also pointed, his Govt was never angry with the journalists but kind of resentment erupted due to wrong news publication.

Amid so many local news channels were blocked, journalists were put behind the bar, the Law Minister said that not a single media was shutdown under the BJP Govt.

Nevertheless, the BJP Govt at Centre even after Court order kept Tripurainfoway.com first site blocked illegally and various TV channels including Akash Tripura, Din-Raat, Mrinalini were shutdown time to time.
