AGARTALA, Nov 16 (TIWN): In an immediate major setback for the BJP’s unethical politics and uncivilized political culture, FIR was lodged against 200 BJP youth activists in the West Agartala Police Station and 3 specific persons names were uttered by Police before media who broke the law by leading an unpermitted rally today evening added event of burning Rahul Gandhi’s effigy before Congress Bhawan. These three leaders are : 1) Tinku Roy (BJP Yuva Morcha President, cum TIDCL Chairman), 2) Viki Prasad, 3) Joylal Das. The action was taken by West Agartala Police station after youth Congress blocked Post Office Chowmuhani road seeking reason why Police gave ruling BJP permission for burning Rahul Gandhi’s effigy in front of Congress Bhawan ? After the protest, when Congress former President Gopal Roy (Lawyer by profession) reached the spot and talked to Police and was preparing to take legal action, Police was bound to tell him that no permission was sought from the Police for any type of rally and the total rally was done without concern of Police. Police also said that the effigy burning was also done by BJP people without permission.A Police Officer was brought before the Police Station to brief the media.
In broken voice the Police officer said, “The total rally was unpermitted. A specific case was registered against the activists with appropriate IPCs within 24 hours”.
When media asked the names of the top leaders the police officer did not want to say but then media pressed police to disclose names. Then, the Police officer said, “Let the name be hidden for now……….”, then Gopal Roy asked him, “Why not, we have lodged FIR….please tell them……”.

Then the Police office said, “Tinku Roy, Viki Prasda and Joylal Das and others……”.
