AGARTALA, Nov 14 (TIWN): Followed by yesterday’s massive rally of CPI-M the Congress led another massive protest in Tripura, once again signifying the public outrage against the BJP generated in last 19 months followed by massive unemployment problems and economic crisis. Congress on Thursday in a massive gathering has gheraoed RBI Agartala Office protest over poor economic condition of RBI led Rs 1.76 trillion fund transfer to the Centre. Addressing media, Congress national leader cum Tripura In-Charge-Bhupen Borah said that Indian economy is now in coma stage. The country, where youths were promised to give 2 crores of jobs now, 90 lakhs people have lost their jobs in last 6 years. In Tripura also it was promised that house to house jobs will be given whereas now they are suggested to rear cows. Corporates are relaxed with taxes whereas farmers are dying but no debt of farmers are waived. To buy agri-items, farmers need to pay the GST also.

“Congress has gheraoed RBI office in protest over Poor Economic status of India, RBI’s Rs 1.76 trillion fund transfer to Govt. Due to Modi Govt’s wrong economic policies, the Indian Economy is in Coma stage now’, added Congress leader Bhupen Borah.

Another state Congress leader said, “The government had already got Rs 280 billion from the central bank in March. The RBI had paid Rs 680 billion as dividend to the government in the previous fiscal year”.

BJP Govt led massive termination.Tripura's unemployment graph from 2017-2019 (a monthly comparison), October, 2017 (Left Govt ): 8.5 % unemployment, October, 2018 (BJP Govt) : 32. 4 % unemployment, October, 2019 (BJP Govt) : 27.2 % unemployment. According to CMIE report published for the October month, 2019 most suffered state among all Indian states is Tripura whose unemployment rate is now 27.2%. Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) has revealed its monthly data for Indian unemployment rate for October-2019, listing Tripura at the top position in unemployment rate.

CMIE data has generated tension further when Tripura like many other states is reeling under economic crisis. If Central BJP Govt could fulfill the promise which it made before the Election about employment generation including 50,000 Govt jobs per year, the situation could be different and better.

National unemployment rate of India is much higher than World Unemployment rate and highest unemployment rate of India of last 50 years.

On the other side, by not maintaining minimum honest the BJP has only fulfilled 2% of its one of the biggest promise which was to give 50,000 Govt jobs in first one year. In a massive failure of Vision Document's implementation as per BJP's pre-election promise by then Union Minister Arun Jaitley, Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Ashok Sinha via Press Conference on Feb 11,2018 at Sonar Tori Hotel which declared 50000 Govt Jobs in 1st year to Tripura's unemployed youths but its turned a massive JUMLA as 50000 Govt Jobs promise remained unfulfiled even after 18 months. BJP Govt's failure in providing 50000 Govt Jobs already turning State Govt unpopular in every passing day among lakhs of unemployed youths. As Union Minister Arun Jaitley no more, Assam Minister Himanta Biswa avoided Tripura after last year's elections are over, so now Congress Chief Spokesman Ashok Sinha liable to answer 50000 Govt Job promise fraud to Tripura's unemployed youths. Failure in fulfilling these JUMLA promises amounts to mass cheating of public as Govt is in no position to provide these 50000 Govt Jobs.
