293 youths left jobless even after passing TET, Resentments fueling heavy among teaching job aspirants

AGARTALA, Sep 15 (TIWN): When Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) monthly data has ranked Tripura Tripura in the second position for unemployment rates out of 29 states in India for August-2019 there is no sign of recruiting qualified teachers by the Education Dept led by Ratanlal Nath who is also the Law Minister of Tripura. For long one year, Education Minister was blaming massive teachers crisis in Tripura schools and by calculation, he cited not even 10 teachers are existing per school, but for the recent times taking U-Turn Nath alleging, Tripura has enough numbers of teachers accessing the needs. Over thousand B.Ed qualified teachers are left jobless but there is no sign of recruitment although in 10323 teachers case, Govt told SC that there are massive teachers crisis in Tripura schools. Earlier, Nath said, there are 14,000 vacant posts in teaching but lack of qualified candidates are creating teachers’ crisis. Tripura’s unemployment rate is 27.9 %, which is second.

Earlier, the passing number in TET (STGT) was 52 which has been increased by BJP Govt 75. Still Tripura’s teaching aspirants youths have proven their quality with massive passing rate. Total 743 youths passed but then Govt called only those who scored 85% in the TET exam. After that also massive numbers of job aspirants submitted their papers for verification with asked percentages according to the demand of the Education Dept, but then also many didn’t get TET certificate even after scoring 85% to 90% which has generated massive frustration.

Total 293 youths this time didn’t get TET certificates, according to the complaint of the deprived job aspirants.

The unemployment rate has increased however than before but Tripura earlier was occupying 1st position and now it is second. In the top position it is Haryana with 28.7%. Tripura BJP led State Govt has focused on self-dependency and self-employment as the first priority and Govt jobs in various Dept are going on but there are pending demands of the job aspirants as Homeopathic field, Veterinary field. The BJP led State Govt has announced to recruit 50 TCS and TPS officers per year in Tripura, recently Chief Minister Biplab Deb has announced.

Deb has announced that total around 50,000 youths have been under scrutiny after they applied online for TSR jobs. Total 2,200 TSR jawans to be recruited in the State.

About1400 Govt jobs have been given since BJP Govt came in power. Many recruited via TET.

Education Minister Ratanlal Nath said that in November-2019 huge numbers of teachers will be recruited.

The opposition CPI-M has demanded that BJP Govt must fulfill its promise on providing 50,000 Govt jobs in first one year which it promised before coming in power in its Vision Document.
