AGARTALA, Aug 31 (TIWN): Opposition leader, former CM Manik Sarkar, former education Minister Tapan Chakraborty debated with the State Govt about 10323 teachers futures, whereas opposition leader Manik Sarkar asked the Govt to recruit them in 12,000 non-teaching posts. “If Govt can continue these teachers jobs in teaching, it will be outstanding but if not for now 12,000 non-teaching posts can be immediate relief”. Minister Ratanlal Nath said, ofcourse Govt is worried for the future of the 10323 teachers but the Govt is now measuring all the instruction of the Supreme Court and highest possible steps will be taken for those teachers but all have to come under law. BJP MLA Arun Chandra Bhoumik said that these 10323 teachers had no merit to be recruited and in wrong way they were recruited.“Our Govt will check all possible means to recruit those teachers but the people were recruited were not capable. Their fresh appointments must be under law”, said Bhoumik. The ruling leaders also hit the CPI-M leaders for recruitment irregularities for which today 10323 teachers are victimized.

Minister Ratanlal Nath also reminded the opposition about Supreme Court’s instruction whether Govt is illegally recruiting 10323 teachers in those 12,000 posts ?

The five categories under which these 12000 (+1000 social welfare dept) posts have been created are :-
1) Academic Counsellor
2) Students Counsellor
3) School Library Assistant
4) Hostel Warden5) School Assistant

The issue is now complicated for the BJP Govt as in Election memorandum BJP had promised to solve the problems of 10323 teachers.
