Clash erupted between Teachers and Journalists in Tripura Govt school while covering students’ protest against new school routine of 8 am to 2 pm

AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN): Verbal clash erupted between journalists and teachers and one journalist was stopped physically by a teacher in South Tripura District’s Uchaibari High School. According to the information, students in that school protested against the new routine of the State Govt schools announced by Education Dept which has been started from 8 am till 2 pm on yesterday. Students blocked road, locked the main gate of the school’s gate alleging that from 8 am routine students do not get enough time for taking bath, eating their food as it’s very tough to eat at 8 am and then rest of the day they can not eat anything. Moreover in the school there is no fan, resulting many students are becoming sick. Moreover students have private tutors and after completing tuitions, it becomes very tough for them to come in school after taking meal.

However, whether any private tutor’s intrigue is behind the protest it’s to be checked. 

But when journalists went to cover the news the teachers pushed the journalists and one teacher Dilip Debnath and another outsider teacher of Thakurchara school Ranjit Majumder by force opened the main gate of the school.

Students alleged, due to lack of time they can not eat food in time resulting a student started vomiting today.

On the other side, teachers in town areas on yesterday praised the Govt because of the new routine as it will give enough time to students for study, rest and also sports in the afternoon. They said, it is scientific as well as psychologically positive.

However, it may take certain time for students to adapt the new routine. Central boards also follow this same routine whereas in winter for temporary time the routines are shifted for half an hour later.

Sources informed, the school teachers who are practiced to illegal private tuition are now in tough situations due to new routine.

According to newly announced routine for primary classes to Class-12 from 8 am, Tripura schools have started following the new routine since yesterday.

According to the new routine, Class 1 to 2 students are staying in schools from 8 AM to 11.40 AM.Class 3 to 5 classes is from 8 AM to 1 PM.Class 6 to 8 is from 8 AM to 1.40 PM. Class 9 to 12 will be conducted from 8 AM to 1.40 PM.
