AGARTALA, July 20 (TIWN): Aimed to decrease crime against women, Commission for Women members have started house-to-house visits to let know whether silently any housewife is tolerating domestic violence or mental tortures or not.
Recently Tripura Women Commission chairperson Barnali Goswami said that Crime against women has decreased in Tripura, but to brining it at more down, there is need of massive movement which will be started by house to house visits.
She said, in coming days the level of crime will more decreased.
This year 558 cases have come to Women Commission and among them 50% has already solved by counselling.
Such issues are based on domestic violence, dowry etc. Women Commission from this year will visit house to house to talk to women whether they have any problem or not.Already such visits have been conducted in state.
