AGARTALA, July 9 (TIWN): Infighting in BJP continues to malign party image even after Chief Minister cum BJP President Biplab Deb’s repeated warning against any kind of violence and as a result, amid various developmental works, Tripura continues to be in national media limelight in violence event. Today also various national media have covered state Tripura but not for any good reason but centered by poll violence, even though since Election result violence have killed many BJP workers in this state. Not a single election could be accomplished peacefully, as Tripura again in national media headline for Dharmanagar violence even though it has injured 17 BJP activists leaving 3 serious.BJP has demanded action against the miscreants but it has been tough for BJP to make impression as victim due to a section of BJP’s criminal empire as Ram Prasad Paul, Pratima Bhowmik, Krishnadhan Das damaged BJP’s image by violence in previous election. MP Rebati Tripura won the election without rigging whereas 11th April’s poll rigging has led by Pratima Bhowmik and her gang created a dark-history for Tripura.

This time, even after CM Biplab Deb’s strict warning a section of BJP and Congress, CPI-M turned BJP persons have indulged in violence which could not escape from becoming National media headline. CM Biplab Deb avoided to deliver any statement on Dharmanagar violence, neither he was seen backing BJP, rather, his impression was against violence.

Ahead of election, CM told even his kariyakartas that a party is known by activists attitudes and warned to stop all kinds of violence. His message was same for all either ruling or opposition, but a section of disturbing elements inside the party has continued attempts of maligning BJP’s image and many former Congress leaders turned BJP leader are involved indirectly in it.

Former Congress, now BJP MLA Biswabandhu Sen has allegedly conducted the unwanted situation at Dharmanagar, but it has left 3 BJP activists injured seriously.

It can be remembered after Lok Sabha Election also due to BJP’s infighting at least 3 BJP workers died. Does not it sound suspicious ?

Violent clashes, accusations and counter-accusations between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the opposition parties Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) and Congress marred the electioneering weeks before the three-tier gram panchayat polls in Tripura.

"At least 50 leaders and workers of the BJP, CPI-M and Congress were injured in the past 48 hours in dozens of clashes and attacks in at least 10 places across the state. Some of the injured persons belonging to rival political parties were admitted to hospitals. No one has been arrested so far," a police officer said.

The pre-poll violence and clashes took place in South Tripura, West Tripura, Khowai and North Tripura districts.
