AGARTALA, June 30 (TIWN): Power Minister cum Tripura’s Deputy CM Jishnu Dev Barman has told reporters that there is no shortage in power surplus in Tripura.
The Minister reacting over the ongoing massive power cut problems said, even after having enough power generation so far public are unable to get the benefits and the reason is poor infrastructure.
“I don’t want to criticize anyone but the transformers bought by the previous Govt was very poor quality. When we make a road, we should look after the longevity”, said Dev Barman.
“The transformers were bought with very low load capacity. Thus, the present Govt is bound to take 1200 crore’s of loans from ADB”, said Deputy CM.
The reaction came from Jishnu Dev Barman on being asked by reporters regarding the ongoing power-cut problems.
