Rather, Power Minister Jishnu Debbarma said that Tripura has so much of power surplus that it’s supplying to Bangladesh and Nepal. Recently Power Minister Jishnu Dev Barman has claimed that Tripura has enough power-surplus. Toll free numbers have also given 1912 for registering complaints, but customers have alleged that this number is not always functioning properly.  Govt has also given alternative numbers for other problems, faults in electricity connection 1381-235-3502 and 0381-235-6470.

To free the state from power theft, the Power Dept has announced to make Tripura ‘hook-line free state’.

Under Soubhagya Yojna 1.36 lakhs people have gotten electricity connections in Tripura.

Due to power cuts nights are becoming naightmares in some places followed by sleepless situations. Also banking services are being disrupted thoroughly due to power cut.

Rural areas’ conditions are most pathetic but now Agartala’s situation is no way better. It is also leading massive water crisis in many areas.

To motivate biogas electricity generation, govt of Tripura has decided to allocate a scheme for the interested people. The scheme is of 33,000 and the beneficiary has to bear 1500 per month, but the interested person must have at least 3 or more than 3 cows.

In High Govt offices as High Court, Secretariat, solar system may be started which can save a lot of power and inspire public to use solar.
