AGARTALA, May 18 (TIWN): BJP led State Govt will introduce meter-system in autos to mitigate the everyday verbal clashes between passengers and auto drivers. Before meter autos, 50 town buses will be introduced within a month.

So both projects expectedly to be completed by August month’s first week.

This is a bold move of the Govt will help the passengers undoubtedly.

This initiative was taken as till now the passenger harassment by auto drivers could not be stopped even after fixing fares.

This was announced by Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on the occasion of 30th Road Safety Week inauguration in 2019 first.

“Govt has already preparing the process to launch meter auto system. In all big cities meter system is there, but Tripura has no such facility yet. We believe it would decrease the everyday tensions and fights between passengers and auto drivers centering fares”, said Biplab Deb while addressing at Astabal Stadium.
