AGARTALA, April 16 (TIWN): CEO Sriram Taranikanti’s failure to take any action against BJP hooligans signaling nexus among Biplab-Pratima Crime empire and State Govt machinery. 6 days after gross poll rigging, shocking poll violence, booth capturing under pre-plan Biplab Deb Govt’s corrupt machinery under an alleged nexus between Election Commission (Tripura), Police and Administration, no development on re-poll has come, thus Congress has decided to knock the Supreme Court. Congress will ask, whether there is no machinery which will speak for fundamental and constitutional rights of common men and opposition, whether there is no place for opposition to place their views even after having gross evidences ? Tripura Congress has decided to move to Supreme Court in demand of re-polling in West Tripura constituency.

Observing long silence of CEO Sriram Taranikanti and presiding officers’ clean certificates’ distribution to the rigged booths, Congress is going to ask the Supreme Court asking whether “Evidences” of video footages are important or fake “Certificates” of some corrupt officers are more valuable which is halting re-polling in Tripura. Addressing media Congress leader, senior advocate Pijush Kanti Biswas said, “Isn’t there any house in the country which can secure public rights, democracy and voting rights ? When gross evidences are there, where booths were captured, voters could not cast vote, the CEO is continuously saying that election was peaceful ? We want to know the answer from the Supreme Court of India”.

Lakhs of voters in Tripura could not cast their votes on Thursday due to open poll-rigging through out polling hours, whereas many had to press on lotus in front of BJP supporters.

Massive poll rigging, attacks on opposition voters, supporters have hit democracy today in Tripura.

Around 460 booths were captured totally and Congress, CPI-M have demanded re-polling in these constituencies. With viral proves, evidences State Tripura is reeling under shocks as lakhs of voters could not cast their votes, polling agents were removed from booths, beaten. Over hundreds of people were injured, hospitalized.

In front of police, security forces, electoral officers opposition polling agents were removed from the booths, but State Election Commissioner Sriram Taranikanti so far stayed muted and police under DGP A K Shukla has proven nothing but a puppet of BJP. Since yesterday the violence started across towns and villages today in front of presiding officers the booths were captured, polling agents were beaten before  CCTV camera.

Being fade up with CEO’s slow move and fake propaganda on peaceful election, Congress has decided to move to the Supreme Court.
