AGARTALA, March 26 (TIWN): Few hours after Dhanpur massive violence led by Pratima Bhowmik’s hooligans under her brother Biswajit Bhowmik and 1 day after her rival CPI-M MP Shankar Prasad Dutta was attacked by BJP, Pratima Bhowmik while proceeding with her road-show at Ranir Bazar said, “We are living in Independent Tripura (স্বাধীন ত্রিপুরা) and you ask the communist also, there is no violence in this state now. In last one year, we are able to breath”. She cited Ujjwala Yojna, Ayushman Bharat projects as Modi’s “Achhe Din”. Bhowmik further criticized the MPs of CPI-M saying in previous years before the election nobody knew that Tripura really has MPs. “Earlier we heard India is poor country whereas now Modi Govt has reduced poverty and all sections of people are living in a certain standard as Modi Govt could give various facilities to poor successfully”, she added. Not only this, she further said that people got the “Freedom of Expression” right which is their fundamental right. On the other side, in Kamalpur as soon as CPI-M open its party office after 1 year of forceful shutdown by BJP, the BJP hooligans going house to house are attacking opposition leaders, vandalizing houses.

CPI-M activist Bhajan Bhowmik was beaten to serious injuries at Dhanpur by BJP General Secretary Pratima Bhowmik (West Tripura candidate). Pratima Bhowmik’s brother Biswajit Bhowmik was seen directly involved in that attack. According to the locals, Billu Bhowmik, Subash Bhowmik were also present with Pratima Bhowmik’s brother Biswajit Bhowmik.

On Sunday, at least four violent attacks took place on CPI-M MP Shankar Prasad Dutta in an organized manner from Jirania to Bisramganj and footage of that attack have been viral, where it was seen BJP hooligans are beating the opposition by stretching them from vehicle and also footage have show in Gandhigram in front of police the hooligans are beating opposition.

In this condition, whether the law and order will be better in coming days or not, it has left up to the seriousness of Election Commission of India.

Pratima Bhowmik has been accused of her own brother’s wife’s murder and also BJP leader, ex-leader raised question on her nexus with drug-empire.

Pratima Bhowmik was allegedly responsible for attacks upon opposition in last 1 year where above 2000 opposition activists were seriously injured and 6 were killed and many people’s houses, properties were burnt. Also she without having any official position directly controls official matters of Biplab Deb’s Govt. Top BJP leaders have resigned from party after BJP nominated her as MP candidate.

She is the main cause, along with CM Biplab Deb led party’s indiscipline situation. Pratima Bhowmik has submitted nomination today for West Tripura’s MP seat for BJP.

She is also the general secretary of State BJP, was defeated in last Assembly Election with Manik Sarkar at Dhanpur constituency.However, she is quite controversial figure in Tripura politics was the accused of her own brother’s wife’s murder. Few more cases were lodged against here during CPI-M era for anti-social works.

Also BJP MLA Surajit Dutta has alleged her nexus with drug mafias of the state. At the same time, Pratima Bhowmik has disputed property which is unmatched with her earning.

Her family made multi-crores properties in last 1 year which is abnormal and matter of inquiry.
