Organized attacks on CPI-M MP Shankar Prasad is not ‘shocking’ being rival of Agni-Kanya

AGARTALA, March 25 (TIWN): CPI-M MP Shankar Prasad Dutta who is being face severe attacks since yesterday in organized manner is however not shocking as his rival is none other than BJP General Secretary Pratima Bhowmik, known as the most controversial political leader in Tripura.Even in case of Assembly Election 2018’s election result day, where her rival at Dhanpur constituency was ex-CM Manik Sarkar the counting did not end till latenight and from her followers massive verbal attacks Manik Sarkar had been continued till he was waiting for the counting result on spot. Similarly, West Tripura is her aspired seat and she wants to become central minister after becoming MP, where CPI-M sitting MP Shankar Prasad Dutta was attacked multiple times and organized attacks on yesterday has exposed once again criminality inside BJP’s politics led by Pratima Bhowmik.

Pratima Bhowmik has been accused of her own brother’s wife’s murder and also BJP leader, ex-leader raised question on her nexus with drug-empire.

At least 5 violent attacks took place on CPI-M activists today centering MP Shankar Prasad Dutta’s visit in local areas.

Footages are shocking which are showing in the presence of police how attacks were taking place. In a video a CPI-M supporter was seen taking out of the vehicle by BJP hooligans to be beaten.

CPI-M leaders led by MP Shankar Prasad Dutta, Pabitra Kar, Manik Dey, Amal Chakraborty have placed a deputation to the ECO Sriram Taranikanti.

Then holding a press conference, Shankar Prasad Dutta raised question where does the democracy stand today even after complaining to the Election Commission of India.

CPI-M State General Secretary Gautam Das said, “There is no healthy environment for poll even though we urged the Election Commission of India. We demanded safety of our candidates and permission to open party offices and the commission promised to do so, but no promise was fulfilled till now”.  

CPI-M East Tripura MP Jitendra Chaudhury said, such attacks with stone pelting has become BJP’s trend.
