AGARTALA, March 24 (TIWN): Crime Queen Pratima Bhowmik unleashed terror via her mafia gangs against Opposition Candidates across Tripura. Amid Election Commission of India’s promise of free & fair election given to Left leaders, statewide brutal attacks on opposition CPI-M has shocked the state. The situation is turning once again as same as local body polls which turned election a farce. Organized attacks under BJP General Secretary cum MP candidate Pratima Bhowmik and BJP state President cum CM Biplab Deb generated tension across Jirania, Kamalpur, Bisramganj, Bishalgarh Gandhigram (Agartala) and few other places. A video has been viral where CPI-M activists were stretched from vehicle to be beaten by BJP hooligans in the presence of state police. Most of the organized attacks were done aiming West Tripura sitting CPI-M MP Shankar Prasad Dutta.

Earlier, opposition parties urged the election commission to deploy central forces at the earliest, but even after various complaints no development has come, rather law and order is under peril. CPI-M in protest have placed a deputation to the CEO Sriram Taranikanti complaining him about the happenings with evidences. CPI-M State General Secretary Gautam Das slammed the ongoing attacks under BJP terror. 

Gautam Das said, “At Jirania when severe attacks were faced by Shankar Prasad Dutta and other CPI-M leaders, activists, the programme was cancelled. Then in Bisramganj same happened and when was returning via Bishalgarh then their vehicles faced same attack. There is no healthy environment for poll even though we urged the Election Commission of India. We demanded safety of our candidates and permission to open party offices and the commission promised to do so, but no promise was fulfilled till now”.  

At least, 5 attacks took place on CPI-M today in Tripura by hooligans and videos of attacks are going viral.

Shankar Prasad Dutta was going towards Mohanpur when the violent attack took place. Stones were pelted, glasses broken.Shankar Prasad Dutta was fortunately not injured.

In another brutal attack, BJP miscreants have injured many CPI-M activists at Bishalgarh, Bisramganj.Vehicles were broken, stone pelted. In front police, they CPI-M activists were brought out of car and beaten.

One more similar attack took place at Jirania, Agartala-Gandhigram.

In Kamalpur yesterday the party office was opened and today BJP hooligans entering people’s home are attacking them, raising again and again question, where does the law and order standing.
