AGARTALA, March 24 (TIWN): Congress leader, resigned BJP Vice President Subal Bhowmik has raised question, why BJP was silent even after its own MLA Surajit Datta brought serious allegation against her. “BJP has become such a party where nobody has any reliability and nobody is bothering who is alleging what. BJP’s silence against MLA Surajit Dutta’s allegation of Pratima Bhowmik’s nexus with drug empire would definitely give people confidence that the allegation was true. Bhowmik has slammed the BJP Govt on its baseless claim of 65000 ganja seized by Tripura Police under Home Minister Biplab Deb asking where have these 65,000 kg ganja have gone ? Subal Bhowmik while giving interview in a local TV channel clearly said, top two leaders are involved in that business where ganjas are returned to the smugglers in exchange of commission. He further slammed the BJP party saying BJP standing for a party where anybody can speak anything against anyone.

He further raised question, why BJP was silent against its own MLA Surajit Datta’s allegation of Pratima Bhowmik is involved in narcotic smuggling. The BJP MLA said this after a drug-smuggler Tapas Ghosh had attacked him physically and Tapas Ghosh is Agartala’s right hand of Pratima Bhowmik. 

 Pratima Bhowmik who has been the most controversial political figure in Tripura has directly and indirectly destroyed BJP’s image in Tripura and tops leaders of BJP have already started quitting the party after BJP nominated her as MP candidate. While quitting BJP, Party Vice President Subal Bhowmik recently mentioned the cause behind his resign from party is the incapable MP candidate and just like Chief Minister Biplab Deb this MP candidate will be shame in the Parliament if win the election. Also he mentioned about BJP led deteriorating law and order became worst ever rule of any party in Tripura.

Pratima Bhowmik was allegedly responsible for attacks upon opposition in last 1 year where above 2000 opposition activists were seriously injured and 6 were killed and many people’s houses, properties were burnt. Also she without having any official position directly controls official matters of Biplab Deb’s Govt. Top BJP leaders have resigned from party after BJP nominated her as MP candidate.

She is the main cause, along with CM Biplab Deb led party’s indiscipline situation.

Pratima Bhowmik has submitted nomination today for West Tripura’s MP seat for BJP.

She is also the general secretary of State BJP, was defeated in last Assembly Election with Manik Sarkar at Dhanpur constituency.However, she is quite controversial figure in Tripura politics was the accused of her own brother’s wife’s murder. Few more cases were lodged against here during CPI-M era for anti-social works.

Also BJP MLA Surajit Dutta has alleged her nexus with drug mafias of the state. At the same time, Pratima Bhowmik has disputed property which is unmatched with her earning.

Her family made multi-crores properties in last 1 year which is abnormal and matter of inquiry.One criminal cases is yet registered against her as Case No-19/2014 117/04/2017 with SC.302/34/IPC May-8.
