All Political Parties marched silent rallies nationwide condemning Pulwama Terror Attack  : Tripura mourns alongwith nation

AGARTALA / Kolkata, Feb 15 (TIWN): Condemning Pulwama attack which snatched 45 lives in a terrorist-blow, ruling and opposition parties have marched silent rallies at the state capital city Agartala. Congress from Post Office HQ started the rally and BJP from the Krishnanagar office led by Biplab Deb and other Ministers kicked off a rally. CPI-M's rally was conducted at Bengal today. The rallies were silent, marched with candles as a part of national mourning day. Also ABVP and student wings of CPI-M, Congress participated in the condemnation programme. A group of people also burnt Pakistan’s flag on the heart of capital city Agartala. State Govt of Tripura has announced Rs. 2 lakhs compensation for each martyr family who had killed in the suicide attack in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. While attending the 52nd Tripura State Athlete Championship, Chief Minister Biplab Deb has restricted all coloulful presentation of cultural programmes after terror attack at Kashmir left 45 CRPF jawans injured. Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday asserted that terrorism cannot divide India and pledged the support of the entire Opposition to the government in the wake of Thursday's terror attack in Pulwama that killed 45 CRPF troopers. Manmohan Singh too expressed his grief over the tragedy and said, "We shall never compromise with terrorist forces and we will work together as one united nation to deal with terrorism.

"Terrorism is a scourge, it is something with which we can never compromise. Today is not a day to raise contentious issues. Our role is to convey our heartfelt condolences and the Congress party stands in full support of our soldiers. We will do all that is necessary to keep this nation united in support of anti-terrorist measures." 

After the biggest ever terrorist attack has taken place, BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra on Friday urged the nation to continue works even more passionately than earlier as terrorists’ aim always have been to sluggish the development of a country.

 “We have cancelled political programmes, but Govt progarmems and other works should be continued in faster manner. Also, whole country is standing together today against terrorism”, said Patra.

The Polit Bureau of the CPI-M has strongly condemns the terrorist attack mounted on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama in Jammu & Kashmir. So far over 20 CRPF personnel have been reportedly killed in this attack while over another 40 are injured.

“Violence is not the answer to resolve issues which require the engagement of all stakeholders in the state. The Modi government had promised, three years ago, to initiate a political process involving all stakeholders through a dialogue. This has not happened. This must be done immediately”, Polit Bureau said in a press note.

The Polit Bureau of the CPI-M called upon the Central government to ensure that peace and normalcy prevails in the state.
