AGARTALA, Jan 24 (TIWN): Ahead of Lok Sabha election, country is suffocating under unnecessary sensitive dialogues by leaders. After anti-Bengali image had been attempted to create on BJP’s image by various opposition parties after 40 lakhs Bengalis were unlisted from Citizenship rights, now while addressing in Bengal, BJP National President Amit Shah said that all Bengali refugees will be brought under passage of Citizenship Bill. When Northeast is fueling in tension, resented against Modi Govt for the passing of controversial Citizenship Bill, Shah’s statement has sparked controversy. Hitting Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Congress (TMC), Shah said, "I want to assure that all the Bengali refugees will be given citizenship under the Citizenship Bill. The TMC government has done nothing for the refugees but we will give them citizenship”.

Taking a jibe at the rally of opposition parties in Kolkata, he said the anti-BJP parties did not utter 'Bharat Mata ki jai or 'Vande Mataram' even once during the public meeting, but kept chanting 'Modi Modi'. “They [TMC] are very fond of infiltrators,” Shah said at a rally in Malda district. “To expel the infiltrators, NRC was brought but they misled the people of Bengal by saying that Bengalis will be driven out. I want to assure all refugees living in Bengal – Hindu, Buddhist and Sikh – that they need not be afraid.”

“Whether the person is a Buddhist, Sikh or Christian, no one will be left out,” the BJP chief said. “Those who have been oppressed and have come from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh will be granted citizenship by the Narendra Modi government.”

Shah asked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to make her stand on the Citizenship Bill clear. “Mamata Banerjee will oppose the bill because she is only concerned about her vote bank,” he alleged.

“The Trinamool Congress government has done nothing for the refugees,” PTI quoted Shah as saying. “But we will give citizenship to all Bengali Hindu refugees. I want to assure all the Bengali refugees that they will get citizenship.”

Except BJP, all the political parties have opposed Citizenship Bill. Recently it has blooded Tripura’s soil in police firing during people were agitating against Citizenship Bill.

Instead of taking action against police, police have allegedly imposed fabricated charges the agitators.

But till now, which police officials were involved in this firing on students, no clarification yet has come in this regard, whereas there are demand from regional parties for suspension of SP West AJit Pratapa Singh who led the whole firing episode without announcement. NESO, IPFT Tipraha calling press conference has condemned the whole episode and almost all pollical parties have condemned the overall incident including looting of shops, setting fire on houses whereas police firing was on the top list of condemnation. There was also a charge additionally imposed National Highway Act & Arms Act 27.
