AGARTALA, Jan 20 (TIWN): MP Jitendra Chaudhury has slammed BJP backed Tripura Rajya Karmachari Sangha for illegal occupying of assets of at Kalacherra Bazar, Sabroom, South Tripura. The assets were created under MP-LADS fund.

Jitendra Chaudhury has written a letter to the Chief Secretary raising the ongoing illegal activities, murdering democracy.

According to the letter which was delivered to the Chief Secretary L K Gupta, MP Jitendra Chaudhury said, “One building was constructed at Kalacherra Bazar, Sabroom, South Tripura District, on the Government land under, MP-LADS fund for the purpose of setting up of a "Skill Development Training Centre" on the demand of local unemployed youth. Construction works were completed in the month of December, 2018, but any activity could not be started due to commencing of Assembly Election”.

“After the Assembly Election was over, a group of State Government employees under the banner of Tripura Rajya Karmachari Sangha, inclined to the present ruling dispensation has unauthorisedly occupied the building and put up their sign board & flag. This is being used now as their office”, the MP told Chief Secretary.

“During last couple of months several attempt has been made at the local level to vacate the illegal occupants from the structure, but they are found to be very adamant to their wrong deeds. Which is resulting to deprivation to the youth from the benefit of skill development training in one hand and in other hand setting an unusual example by a section of Government employees in illegally occupying the Government land and assets created out of public fund, which is akin to serious violation of Service Conduct Rules”, he alleged.

Chaudhury further placed sought two actions against this illegal occupying of assets :

1. The building constructed on the Government land by public fund is immediately restored from the illegal occupants and handed over to any Government agency, who are imparting training to the youth on skill development.

2. Appropriate actions are initiated under law against all errant Government employees, who have violated the Service Conduct Rules.
