AGARTALA, Jan 19 (TIWN): Massive failure of Law & Order, brutal firing by SP West injuring 6 innocents now resulted black flags to Biplab Deb, also established this ‘motormouth’ as a big failure in Tripura’s history. Amid tall claims on stable law and order in Tripura during Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s visit at Dasharambari, locals men, women gathered around him demanding “security”. Accompanying MLA Sushanta Chaudhury continuously tried to console them that police are here and so they have no fear, but the common men didn’t want to listen anyone except uprging Biplab Deb to give them security. The locals described how their jwelleries were looted, how shops were destroyed and how the devastation took place. The people also said, in whole life such violence and brutality they didn’t see. But Biplab Deb who was also accompanied by Tribal Welfare Minister Mebar Jamatia said that it was an accident and to forget everything just like fire or any disaster. On January 8, NESO led protest against Modi Govt’s controversial Citizenship Bill, brutal firing by Biplab Deb controller Tripura Police injured 6 Tiprasa youths fueled by shops and houses burning of various tribals, non-tribals in that area by BJP activists. When the injured people were being taken to hospital police further attacked the ambulance forced the ambulance to escape from police attack and reached at CRPF camp and later the CRPF force under protection shifted the patients in hospital.

On that night immediately various political leaders visited GB hospital but it took 12 days for Chief Minister Biplab Deb to visit GB hospital and Madhabari as he was afraid of mass anger after wrongdoings by Tripura Police, Home Dept and BJP activists. Till day, Govt didn’t allow Judicial investigation in Madhabpur violence and finally when he visited there, people boycotted him. In this situation how far Chief Minister’s consolation could satisfy their safety urge it’s questionable.

On yesterday CPI-M MP Jitendra Chaudhury has revealed the highest injured Sumit Debbarma was not even a NESO agitator, rather he was just a local, whereas Congress leader Pradyot Manikya said that Sumit Debbarma has not been yet helped financially.

Even after all non-BJP parties demand of Judicial investigation in the police firing incident, Govt didn’t order Judicial investigation, rather Govt had shutdown internet connectivity for long 4 days. Jitendra Chaudhury in this regard said that in such case the investigation under West DM Sandeep Mahatme will be merely a report card of the BJP office.

On the day of the incident almost all the political parties leaders had met the GB hospital victims except Tripura Home Minister cum Chief Minister Biplab Deb.INPT, IPFT, IPFT(Tipraha), CPI-M all leaders have rushed to GB hospital after brutal attack on Tipura youths at Jirania police firing incident, but after ordering firing on innocents, Biplab Deb didn’t pay any visit at there.

Moreover, Police Dept have registered cases against 500 Tiprasa youths in Ranir Bazar and Jirania police stations, who are members of INPT and TSF in Jirania’s Madhabbari police firing incident. Against TSF Secretary Bishu Debbarma, President Upendra Debbarma, leader Sunil Debbarma and around 500 TSF students the case was registered. Case No-4/19 under IPC 148/149 / 333/ 153/ 307/ 436 427 is under investigation. But till now, which police officials were involved in this firing on students, no clarification yet has come in this regard, whereas there are demand from regional parties for suspension of SP West AJit Pratapa Singh who led the whole firing episode without announcement. NESO, IPFT Tipraha calling press conference has condemned the whole episode and almost all pollical parties have condemned the overall incident including looting of shops, setting fire on houses whereas police firing was on the top list of condemnation.  There was also a charge additionally imposed National Highway Act & Arms Act 27.
