Tripura regional parties burnt Biplab Deb’s effigy, demanded step down

AGARTALA, Jan 13 (TIWN): Indigenous parties in Tripura have burnt Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s effigy demanding his resignation from Chief Ministry as well as Home Ministry.
During the effigy burning slogan was raised, “Narendra Modi hai, hai. Biplab Deb hai hai”.
The parties have also demanded resignation of Chief Minister Biplab Deb who is also the Home Minister of Tripura.
The issue was raised after police firing injured 6 Tiprasa youths at Jirania on January 8, 2019. The firing was done on the agitators who were protesting against the Citizenship Bill.
