AGARTALA, Jan 5 (TIWN): BJP National President Amit Shah just read out a scripted press conference, talked about law and order situation of the state and further certified Tripura’s law and order as “stable” and “developed” than the previous CPI-M Govt’s time. But after 10 months of passage when Tripura suffered from BJP State President cum Chief Minister Biplab Deb and General Secretary Pratima Bhowmik led tortures on oppositions, every night ahead of by-elections people’s houses were attacked, burnt, domestic cattle were killed, Ex-Minister Bhanulal Saha was slapped by his party goons when he went in booth as polling agent, but Amit Shah has certified Tripura’s law and order as stable. Also he talked long on ‘Anti-Drug movement’, which in reality has turned a farce under Biplab Deb and his local mentor cum BJP General Secretary Pratima Bhowmik (now aspiring to be MP candidate) whose whole family has been in narcotic business. Even though Amit Shah has claimed that crime rates decreased in 2018, but the crime records data has exposed the BJP Govt.

Whereas in 2017 total only 3,894 cases had been registered in various police stations, in 2018 the number has spiked up 5,663 triggering a nation-level tension on Tripura’s law and order.

125 kidnapping of girls recorded in last year from April to November. In 2017 the number was 81. A sharp increase also recorded in miscellaneous cases which from 2017’s 584 cases, increased to 1,027 cases and the number of non-IPC cases also rose from 155 to 593.There was also a spike in the murder and road accidents numbers.

Talking about development in Tripura under the BJP Govt, Amit Shah pointed on the 10323 terminated teachers case, removal of fake beneficiaries of social pension and ration card, renaming of Agartala Airport.

He also said, 7th Pay Commission was given by BJP Govt, whereas only 0.32 factor was hiked.

Before the press conference, Amit Shah addressed at Astabal Stadium where he claimed that people are fearlessly moving under BJP Govt, but truth is Amit Shah might be was observing only faces of his kariyakartas, who are not only fear but recently stretched CPI-M State Secretary Gautam Das from vehicle at Bishalgarh.

“Since Tripura Govt was formed, for the first time I have come in Tripura. I worshiped Tripura Sundari Goddess. Biplab Deb has told me about various changes Tripura has undergone but the highest ever change I have found is that there is no fear on  people’s face since the change”, Amit Shah said at Astabal.
