‘Transparent Recruitment Policy’ or JUMLA ? 65 engineers to be appointed under ‘Direct Recruitment’ to satisfy BJP-channel like previous Law Dept Recruitment

AGARTALA, Jan 4 (TIWN): Tripura BJP led State Govt in the name of Transparent Recruitment Policy has curbed the chances of employment but openly calling “Direct Recruitments” placing the Govt’s role under scanner. Earlier, a case was filed in High Court for alleged illegal recruitment of public prosecutors at Udaipur District Court and all the jobs went to BJP cadres. (Tripura Govt cancelled all recruitments including TPSC except Law Dept headed by Ratanlal Nath and TIWN raised question based on public allegation that Minister’s kins were interested in that job and proving the allegation of TIWN true, the recruitment was challenged in High Court). The next victims have been set as the engineers as Govt has taken decision to directly recruit 65 engineers on ‘urgent basis’. TIWN has taken information that there is no such urgency as 36 engineers since years are in contractual jobs in 6 diploma colleges, but Govt has decided (source information) that the 36 contractual teachers will be terminated and fresh will be recruited via “Direct Recruitment”. It has triggered massive resentment and also possibility of job via “channels”.

Law Dept’s corruption exposed in November, 2018 : High Court had noticed Tripura Govt for appointing eight public prosecutors allegedly illegally. The petitioners are 1) Bapi Dey, 2) Joyesh Dey who are also advocates (practicing) in the Gomati District Court. HC Chief Justice Sanjay Karol heard the writ petition filed by Adv Purushottam Roy Barman, Samarjit Bhattacharjee and Kaushik Nath and High Court  has served the notice to State Govt seeking reply to allegations of illegal recruitment. Both Bapi Dey and Joyesh Dey had topped in the interviews, whereas they didn’t get the appointment led them to file a case in the High Court.

Tripura Govt had cancelled all the ongoing recruitments except Judicial Dept and now this Judicial Dept recruitments are themselves under scanner.

(TIWN Editor Saumen Sarkar has urged all kinds of victims to go in legal path to fight against corruption, being careless about winning or defeat, even though they may lose many things in that battle but it will be considered a move against corruption for motherland).
