AGARTALA, Jan 3 (TIWN): JUMLA driven Tripura BJP failed to honor all pre-poll promises to masses. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley can attempt to fool Rahul Gandhi and all political leaders on any topic from Rafale deal to demonetization, but here in Tripura, Jaitley will fail to answer Tripura’s unemployed youths whom he in a written document on 11th Feb, 2018 (exactly 1 week before Assembly Election on 18th Feb) had promised to give 50,000 jobs within 1 year of Govt formation, but after 10 months of passage Jaitley never visited Tripura, neither answering on his empty promises. Just 2 months left and BJP in Tripura will lose its one of the major promises’ deadline which laid in the Vision Document to vote banks of 7 lakh unemployed youths. The promise was done by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley before the election that if BJP is voted to power then 50,000 vacant posts will be filled up in the first year, but till now BJP has walked exactly in the opposite direction of Arun Jaitley’s promise.

With the increasing unemployment problem in Tripura, resentment, frustration have been spiked up among the jobless youths and resentment brewed among Govt job aspirants whose jobs were not only cancelled half-done but the future job opportunities were also snatched by Govt notification. On the other side, Chief Minister Biplab Deb has started gradually telling people outside that industry has been brought in Tripura  by BJP Govt, whereas the reality is harsh.

In 2018 due to election first 3 months almost Govt depts left without recruitment but after the election since March to now December no recruitment except few in Tripura schools were done and for that reason, Education dept was showcaused by Finance Dept why recruitments were done.

Over 8000 half done recruitments were cancelled after BJP Govt assumed in power and those posts were never reinitiated for fulfilling, whereas in BJP’s Vision Document published by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, it was clearly said that once BJP will be in power, it will recruit 50,000 unemployed youths in various Govt Depts in the first year but almost 10 months have been gone, so far no recruitment was proceeded, rather 2018 left as a  year for Tripura’s 7 lakhs unemployed youths almost without recruitment.

On the other side, Chief Minister Biplab Deb has slammed the youths who runs after Govt jobs. “They should not look at the papers for job advertisements, rather if they had started business they could earn crores per year, said Chief Minister. “It has been experienced in Tripura that for years after years unemployed engineers are looking to enter Govt jobs like Civil Engineering, whereas if they could focus on themselves and had developed entrepreneurship then already he would have 10 crores”, the Chief Minister said. Earlier, Biplab Deb said, if unemployed youths had opened paan-shops or rearing cows, then in 10 years they could have 10 lakhs instead of running of Govt jobs. Chief Minister that suggestion also triggered nationwide criticism and in Tripura BJP before coming in power promised to recruit 50,000 unemployed youths in various existing vacant posts under Govt Depts within 1 year, whereas now the Govt has slashed all the vacant posts saying, Tripura has enough numbers of Govt employees and thus no more is needed. The Govt also cancelled all ongoing recruitments affecting over 8000 people here.

Finance Dept in notification No.F 9 (2) FIN (G)/ 2017/ 711 dated December 17, 2018 said that Tripura having the “highest numbers of Govt employees” and there is no need of any more Govt employee unless the posts are vacated by surrender or retirement. The order said, “Tripura has the highest level of Govt employment in the country. The level of employment is double in Tripura in compare to the states like Meghalaya. Needless to say, there is need to be extremely prudent in the matter of further recruitments”.

The notification further says, “Creation of posts will be strictly depend of availability with budgetary resources with Department concerned. Each dept has a number of posts created in the past, which are vacant and no longer required. Hence whenever a department submits a proposal of post creation it should be accompanied with surrender/ abolition of posts with equivalent financial  implications”. In the order it was also mentioned if rules are not followed, then dire consequences will be seen and already Education Dept was issued with a fresh notice for show-cause.

BJP’s pre-poll promises turned JUMLA, now under media rage and social media rage.Sunil Deodhar before the election gave 8882271955 number to unemployed youths saying, it will give them job once they give one missed-call in it, but after 10 months of passage this 8882271955 number is saying switched off in Marathi language. But now the whole promise is proving as JUMLA and netizens have called him as “Missed Call Baba”.

Under 9 months of BJP Govt in Tripura, state’s unemployment rate went at 28%, highest in country’s history for a state, whereas BJP Govt now has put a fullstop in Govt jobs with an order of “no more Govt Jobs” as Tripura has enough numbers of Govt employees under the previous Govt.
