AGARTALA, Jan 1 (TIWN): JUMLA, frauds, cheaters fooled Tripura’s lakhs of unemployed youths by fake promises before March’2018 Assembly Election. 2018 was the worst year for Tripura in last few decades, specially for the unemployed youths, but Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb, better known as motormouth for gaffes has claimed that 2018 has been a historical year for Tripura and people have witnessed what’s called good governance. Being asked by media on 31st December 2018 evening, how was 2018 for Tripura Biplab Deb said, it was a historical year for Tripura as people have seen the down of a long ruling Govt. “For state people, 2018 had been a historical year where a massive change came politically due to people’s democratic movement for change. In 2018 many things happened in Tripura. For women 10% reservation was announced in recruitment under Home Dept, Transparent recruitment policy was adopted, digitalization brought revolution, law and order developed, drug baston here has almost be ended. People here are going in a new direction”.

However, when tall claims of the Neta attempted a heaven in Tripura, the ground reports are different as unemployment problem has become double as Tripura now tops in unemployment with 32.2% among states, recruitment has been stopped by govt press released, law and order was totally destroyed by ruling party, police dept turned political tool, election turned a farce with open poll rigging and attacks upon opposition, bounding opposition candidates to submit nominations.

However Chief Minister Biplab Deb throughout 2018 has been kept on entertaining netizens with his gaffes as “Internet was existing in Mahabharata’s era” to “Diana Hayden was unworthy to be Miss World” etc.

In case of recruitment, the Govt via official press release has stopped recruitments. In a govt press release, Finance Dept ordered that Tripura has enough numbers of employees, thus there is no need of creating new posts and no new job should be given unless any employee surrenders his job and goes in retirement.

Fuel price was raised 3 times, SpiceJet and few flights of Indigo took off forever leading heavy prices of airway tickets.

In case of law and order, Tripura has witnessed the most undemocratic govt for the first time in state’s history. Increasing crimes  as mob-lynching, rapes, murders are in one side, but the major threat is, the ruling party itself has been engaged to break the law and order everyday. A former Minister was slapped, opposition top leaders to supporters and their family members were attacked brutally, people’s houses were burnt, but all such activities left without any action as the whole crime episode has been controlled by Chief Minister Biplab Deb and party general secretary Pratima Bhowmik. In case of drug empire, Pratima Bhowmik herself is controlling the narcotic den here.
