AGARTALA, Dec 21 (TIWN): BJP rapidly losing votebanks after 10 months, Biplab Deb failed to fulfill or initiate a single promise made before or after election which includes ‘50000 Jobs within 1 year’ or 7 lakhs Jobs within first 30 months. After losing minority vote banks, BJP in Tripura is desperately losing youngers votebanks whom the party before election promised to give smart phones (around 20 lakhs), house to house jobs, 50,000 Govt jobs in first year and the promises’ liability goes first of all to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely who unveiled the Vision Document with hundreds of promises done to the people here. But since the notification was published signed by Chief Secretary L K Gupta on curbing of Govt job opportunities, massive criticism was erupted but till now from December 17, no statement was given from the State Govt. Already, tensions have erupted among TET Qualified, B.Ed ongoing teaching job aspirants in Tripura as Finance dept in a notification signed by Chief Secretary L K Gupta has warned all depts to make a pause in the recruitment process as “Tripura has highest level of literacy rate”. Education dept headed by Minister Ratanlal Nath was also served a notice for the ongoing yearly recruitment asking cause behind so many recruitments in past few months, which is causing huge expenditure for the Finance Dept.

Earlier to thousand police job aspirants Biplab Deb in Janata Durbar promised that their jobs will be given in time, but his Janata Durbar’s promise too turned a JUMLA to the democracy when state govt cancelled all existing jobs even affecting all those who already got their appointment letters.

At the same time, other departments have also given an ultimatum not to recruit any more employee without Finance Dept’s permission or action will be taken. Tripura yearly has two annual TET exams and direct recruitment process aimed to mitigate the ongoing teachers crisis. Now, when state govt is striving to recruit 10323 teachers and teaching job aspirants with one time relaxation, Finance Dept’s order has generated tension over 7,000 B.Ed qualifiers / undergoing students.

Earlier BJP Govt promised to give 50,000 jobs in the first year and will set big industries but with this unwanted strike on employment, it has been fueling huge frustration and resentments.

Right now, Tripura not only tops in unemployment rate but the current percentage of unemployed youths is 32.2%, breaking the national record.

Finance Dept in notification No.F 9 (2) FIN (G)/ 2017/ 711 dated December 17, 2018 said that Tripura having the “highest numbers of Govt employees” and there is no need of any more Govt employee unless the posts are vacated by surrender or retirement.

The order said, “Tripura has the highest level of Govt employment in the country.

The level of employment is double in Tripura in compare to the states like Meghalaya. Needless to say, there is need to be extremely prudent in the matter of further recruitments”.

The notification further says, “Creation of posts will be strictly depend of availability with budgetary resources with Department concerned. Each dept has a number of posts created in the past, which are vacant and no longer required. Hence whenever a department submits a proposal of post creation it should be accompanied with surrender/ abolition of posts with equivalent financial  implications”. In the order it was also mentioned if rules are not followed, then dire consequences will be seen and already Education Dept was issued with a fresh notice for show-cause.
