'I like the religion that teaches liberty, equality and fraternity' : Dr B R Ambedkar

AGARTALA, Dec 6 (TIWN): Father of Indian Constitution, the most important figure remembered for India's integrity Dr B R Ambedkar is being remembered today across the nation. Along with whole nation, in Tripura also this day has been observed with full enthusiasm to mark "equality" and all the political parties leaving no stone unturned to take mileage from Ambedkar death anniversary. CPI-M, BJP and their student wings have observed the day across the state, whereas CPI-M's massive rally is at 3 pm with slogans of equality. But when BJP Govt has prohibited the decade long festival at South Tripura "Sanghati Fair" on Babri mosque demolition day, it's important to remember what Dr B R Ambedkar said about his concept of religion. One of his famous quotes is, "I like the religion that teaches liberty, equality and fraternity". Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, popularly known as Babasaheb Ambedkar, is a celebrated leader, who flagged the ‘Constitution of India’. He was a well known statesman who fought for the rights of the Dalits and other socially backward classes.
