AGARTALA, Dec 3 (TIWN): Martyr Albert Ekka was remembered on his birth anniversary in Tripura, who dedicated his life in Tripura in a battle with Pakistan in 1971.
Ekka, with 14 Guards, was awarded the country's highest gallantry award Param Vir Chakra for his conspicuous bravery and fearless determination in the Battle of Gangasagar on the Eastern Front with then Eastern Pakistan.
Lance Naik Albert Ekka, PVC was a soldier in the Indian Army. He was killed in action in the battle of Hilli, during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. He was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest award for valour in the face of the enemy.
