"We are bound to buy our products from Shillong by compromising tastes as local products are seeking double price", a businessman at Gol Bazar told TIWN.

Citing example of price differences, the shop-keeper said, "If green chilli, price is Rs. 60 which came from Shillong, but Tripura's local green chillis are of  Rs. 120 and in all commodities, in similar way prices are high. Thus we are collecting products from Shilling".

Customers has slammed the situation saying that whole year they are bound to buy vegetables at high price. The buyers also pointed, flood happened in all states. Thus, why in case of Tripura rates are too high ?
