AGARTALA, Oct 27 (TIWN): JUMLA drama of Janata Durbar without solving a single public problem now biting dust.Just like Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb's Janata Durbar has also turned a major failure, as within few months of hearing public problems CM minimized the Janata Durbar time-tables. Now only at Secretariat few times CM is seen with Janata Durbar. Delhi CM Kejriwal just like Tripura CM started "Janata Durbar" in full wave, whereas now 3 times Janata Durbar merged in 1 time, cutting Durbars from his resident and one day at Secretariat if CM is available. Earlier, Kejriwal said, "Too many Janata" after Janata Durbar, whereas in front of CM's residence to take coupon people started gathering at night 1 pm. Then CM stopped meeting public at home. Both CMs of Delhi, Tripura ended with crowd tension but Tripura is a small state of 37 lakh population.

Thus, much hyped Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s Janta Durbar is not at all working practically for ‘Janata’ (Public) as people are no more able to meet Chief Minister at his residence.Not only this, from 3 times meeting the mass, the Janata Durbar has been merged as ‘weekly’ and people can meet Biplab Deb only at Secretariat with “Pre-Booking”.But earlier everyday before the Ministers’ quarter area people gathered and met the Chief Minister, Ministers directly.

If the Ministers, CM were not available in residence then they couldn’t meet. Ofcourse, in odd cases (like RMSA, SSA) where the Ministers will put under questions, often such meetings were avoided especially ahead the election.

However on that time, doing protest, demonstration were also common practices, which today are no more possible even after Court’s order.

But this common practice of meeting the Ministers have now turned almost impossible under the code of “Janata Durbar”.

Biplab Deb meets one day to the people, whereas the previous CM and Ministers meet 7 days except exceptions
