AGARTALA, Oct 11 (TIWN): Congress has termed the pay hike/ pay matrix of BJP as a “consolation prize” for employees, which was claimed by Chief Minister Biplab Deb as 7th Pay Commission.

“This is not 7th Pay Commission but a JUMLA-Commission by 7 months old JUMLA-Govt. Employees who were hoping a double salary ended with almost a consolation prize”, Congress leader Gopal Roy said.
“Totally a fraud activity has been done by BJP Govt. Like 7th Pay Commission whole Vision Document will turn a JUMLA indeed”, Gopal Roy told media.

“CPI-M Govt’s 2.25 factor hike raised 19.68% of salaries of the employees and after 0.32 factor hike by BJP Govt has raised only 14.2% of the whole salary. In case of pensioners for gratuity state Govt’s has allocated 10 lakh whereas in case of Centre (7th CPC) it’s 20 lakhs”, Gopal Roy added.

“The effect from 2018, October has further hit the employees badly whereas 2016, January was promised as the effect before election. Indeed the Jumla Govt has mass cheated with fake Vision Document”, the Congress leader said.

Manik Sarkar’s Govt on July 11, 2017 had announced 2.25 factor hike in pay scale and BJP now has added 0.32 factor with that merely a 14.2% hike, no way can be called 7th Pay Commission. Moreover, the effect has been given from 2018, October which has hit the employees and also the 40,000 pensioners who went in retirement after 2016 and were expecting the effect from 2016.
