AGARTALA, Sep 24 (TIWN): Tripura Health Minister Sudip Barman on Monday has expressed concerns regarding the malaria deaths, assuring there is no lack of effort by the state govt to curb the death rates.
“There is no way that we can deny the current effects of Malaria and the situation is much sensitive like 2014 indeed”, said Sudip Barman.
The Health Minister comparing the threats of malaria in 2018 just like 2014, said, “Our Dept‘s strong vigilance have ofcourse curbed the deaths. In 2014 at least 96 people died in malaria whereas this year till now 6 died”.
From Dept side, all kinds of necessary actions have been taken to curb the death rate further.
Malaria, which is a disease caused by a plasmodium parasite, transmitted by the bite of infected mosquitoes effects most in hilly, rural areas of Tripura whereas tribals have been highest victims of it.
