AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Aug 30 (TIWN): BJP’s intolerance towards Opposition Parties, disregard for Indian Democracy again & again being exposed as Tripura High Court to Supreme Court ridiculed various BJP Govt’s mafia kind of attitude to wards opposition parties. Going against Democratic rights, the issue of 'not giving permission' to hold rallies, is not a new trend by BJP Ministers in Tripura, but it's BJP culture, proven with Tripura HC’s Order to State Govt after INPT filed cases after Govt’s denial to hold rallies, followed by Supreme Court's Order against Maharashtra Govt. Observing the ongoing intolerance on democratic rights, Supreme Court has told Maharashtra government, "If resentments are not allowed in Democracy, the pressure cooker will burst.

Supreme Court further asked the Govt that five rights activists and lawyers arrested by Pune police for protesting be placed under house arrest  rather than jail lockup until the matter is heard next on September 6.

However, in case of Tripura since the very beginning the things are going on in this "over cooked" pressure cooker like condition as arrest of unemployed youths while protesting, case registration against B.Ed college students, money extortion in various means, not giving permission for political, apolitical rallies, unconstitutionally cancellation of all existing job recruitments and nightmare eviction of terminated employees by police, due to which one is hospitalized due to psychological trauma like condition after suddenly at 5 pm police rushed to evict them.

Many employees have been terminated without any reason.

Tripura opposition parties are facing tough times to get permission to stage 'dharna' or any kind of protest against BJP Govt.

Recently one opposition tribal party INPT filed a case in the High Court against the BJP led state Govt for not giving them permission to stage a demonstration. High Court has clearly said, govt can't stop a democratic movement.

On July 15, Congress gheraoed Udaipur R K Pur Police Station after they were not given permission for rally and this was not the first time but multiple times it happened with Congress and other oppositions. Congress's student wing NSUI on July 23 did not get permission for rally.

CPI-M, IPFT Tipraha were not given permission many times whereas HC, SC are continuously saying in favour of democracy.

Many cases have been filed against opposition leaders for holding rallies without permission and even it is alleged that against students also the Govt has filed cases for holding protest.

Recently unemployed youths were arrested two times for gathering to meet CM Biplab Deb.

Hundreds of cases are filed against people for "unpermitted rally" whereas when asked the police don't give permission.

Noteworthy, Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra said, “Dissent is a safety valve for democracy. If you don’t allow this safety valve, then the pressure cooker will burst. Look the people who are arrested after nine months. They are professors, lawyers and activists working for a cause".

The apex court also sought the response of Maharashtra Government in the writ petition filed challenging the arrest of five activists for their alleged Maoists links from Delhi, Faridabad, Mumbai, Thane and Hyderabad.

Earlier in Assam also teachers were beaten by police for protest.
