AGARTALA, Aug 30 (TIWN): Sunil Deodhar, Biplab Deb led BJP’s pre-election promise of ‘smart phones will be given to each youth’ if they vote for BJP to ‘power’, but after getting power the JUMLA promise has been under wrap by saying the ‘treasury is empty’. On the one side, when Govt employees are waiting for 7th pay commission before Durga puja, youths are waiting for smart phones as BJP before coming in power said so. Durga Puja is going to be started from October 15 but out of 10 promises said in the Vision Document, not a single has been fulfilled till now. Recently a new word has been added with the SMART phone providing promise of the BJP in its Vision Document i.e. Educated. Earlier, before the Election it was said that all youths will get smart phones, whereas on Monday in the Assembly, Chief Minister Biplab Deb said, ‘Only Educated youths will get smart phones’. However, education qualification yet to be announced as in Tripura literacy rate is highest in the country.

BJP had promised before election, that once it’s in power free-smart phones will be given to youths.

Among all the issues, ‘unemployment’ is however the most crucial issue. However, jobs will take some time, but the youths of Tripura are eagerly waiting to get the smart-phones in hands as promised by BJP before the election.

BJP in its Vision Document had promised to provide smart-phones to each youth of the state, but even after around above 5 months of passage the smart-phones are not in hand.

So no surprise, public calling BJP as ‘Bhartiya JUMLA Party ‘for fake promises, cheating lakhs of voters.

10 major points of Vision Document:

Promise 1 : One employment opportunity in  each household,

Promise 2 : Free Education for Women Till graduation,

Promise 3 : 7th Pay Commission for all Govt employees & state pensioners,

Promise 4 : Free smart phones to youths,

Promise 5 : Minimum allowance will be Rs. 2000 & Minimum wage will be Rs. 340,

Promise 6 : Investigate Rose Valley Chit fund case & punish all the guilty,

Promise 7 : Provide Housing to all without brick housing,

Promise 8 : Free Health insurance to all BPL Households,

Promise 9 : Provide drinking water to all households,

Promise 10 : Regularize contractual govt employees.
