AGARTALA, Aug 28 (TIWN): Eventhough before the Election Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured voters, there will be no discrimination among BJP and opposition supporters and the Govt will be dedicated for 37 lakh people’s Govt, but the ongoings are saying different kind of story. Total 363 employees earlier had protested to be regularized from Forest Dept but among them 350 were regularized but 13 contractual of Forest Dept have been terminated recently under the BJP Govt and among those 13 employees there are many senior employees who were victimized due to ‘other’ reason. In total 35 numbers of employees are left jobless without any reason. With this resentment, the jobless people have staged a protest and also started hunger strike demanding Justice for them in the office of Forest Dept. PCCF Dr. Alind Rastogi, IFS talked to the victims promising that he will surely talk to the Chief Minister about their problems but he needs at least a week to come to a decision.

Moreover since 8 months the employees are not getting salaries which has created much problems for them to run their family.

Addressing media, the agitated employees said, Forest Dept contractual employees have been terminated without any reason.  The casual workers were regularized by the previous CPI-M Govt, but due to some paper works their regularization was under process. “Our of 363 workers total 350 members were regularized and these 13’s name were already entered in the regularization list. But instead of regularizing, we were terminated under the Dept”, they said.

Many times, the employees came to meet the officers but nobody allowed them to go inside the office. Today allegedly after seeing the cameramen with them the Secretaries voices were downed.

The agitators said, “Many of the regularized employees do not have proper documents and with fake documents they were regularized but after working for many years we were terminated”.

The PCCF said he is trying to meet the CM but unable to meet him. However, surely he will be able to meet the Chief Minister soon to discuss regarding the matter.
