AGARTALA, Aug 15 (TIWN): Tripura’s rapid deterioration of Law & Order again visible on I-Day as masses vented anger against Police Dept inaction over Tamal Das murder.A single statement has not come from the Chief Minister cum Home Minister Biplab Deb after 15 years boy was brutally murdered on the heart of capital city led the guardians, Tamal's friends, relatives and locals to block two times national highway. Even though the Chief Minister pitched high in his Independence Day's speech saying, Tripura is going ahead to be a 'corruption free state', 'crime free state' but in reality for each justice public are bound to come on the road. With an utter shame, Police Officers were seen standing in folded hands before the road blockaders on Wednesday to release the road, who were standing with 15 years boy Tamal Das's dead body at Drop Gate, who was killed on August 10 allegedly by nephew of Police Officer Ajay Shukla Das. The blockade left the transport collapsed from Bordowali to Drop Gate area for hours led mass suffering for the common men on the occasion of Independence Day, citing where the law and order is standing today under Chief Minister Biplab Deb.It was observed that police are requesting the agitators to keep faith on them.

Even though police have arrested both of the accused, the locals had blocked national highway as they couldn't believe that the Police Officer Ajay Sukla Das was actually arrested. In the mean time a family in scooty tried to cross the blockade and locals had beaten him even attacked on the child. Police on spot save the family anyhow but the biker was punched 2 / 3 times and the baby in the scooty was screaming in fear.

This is the condition of Tripura's Law and Order but Chief Minister Biplab Deb said at Assam Rifles ground in Agartala, " 24X7 there will be police service and by just after dialing 100, police will rush to you. We are aimed to make Tripura Drug-free. I thank Tripura Police for their great jobs in catching the culprits behind drug business", CM added.

The incident took place Friday evening when is Tamal Das, S/O-Kamal Das, resident of Kabiraj Tilla. was called by Tushar Saha and beaten over his head. For two days Tamal left in coma and on Tuesday he breathed his last.

Students of Bordowali School and locals have twice blocked National Highway at Agartala Drop Gate on Sunday demanding "Justice for Tamal".

School students said, "Tamal was called by Ajay Sukla Das and his nephew Tushar Saha and planwise they had beaten him to coma, whereas he could beat Tamal in other parts of the body. Tamal went for tuition, from where he was called in the police's quarter. After beating him, the Police Officer gave Rs. 5000 to the friends of Tushar and asked to send him to GB hospital saying nothing will happen to Tamal".

SDPO Ajay Kumar Das who was present on spot told media, the blockade was unnecessary as both the accused are already arrested. He further urged public to keep faith on the administration. The main accused Tushar Saha was arrested long back and already in Jail Custody and recently his uncle who is the Police Officer at AD Nagar PS was also arrested. Questions are being raised by various media, why for single justice Tripura people till have to come on the road ?

According to Tripura Police’s website total 45 murders, 237 theft cases, 94 violence, 94 attacks upon a group occurred in last 4 months. At the same time crime against women on spike. Due to poor policing thieves are dominating during nights in capital city Agartala. The other subdivisions' conditions are also same. At the same times attack incidents, money extortions are exposing here and there even though CM is claiming "Tripura undergoing HIRA model".
