CM guarantees 'HIRA-model' for Tripura on I-Day, says, 'Crime-free, Corruption-free state ahead' : Tripura’s crime spree spikes high, 45 murders, 237 thefts in 4 months as per Police Data

AGARTALA, Aug 15 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb in his first ever Independence Day speech has repeated PM Modi's pre-election promise about "HIRA for Tripura". Thanking troops and volunteers, remembering martyrs as Mangal Pandey, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekar Azad, Khudiram Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, Rishi Arobindo, Shyama Prasad Mukharjee and others, CM began his at the Assam Rifles Ground. At the very beginning of his speech, Biplab Deb said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visioned a Hira-model for Tripura and under the Central Govt we are working in that path. HIRA's "H" means Highways. Total 6 National Highways have been approved whereas 4 are under construction. We are determined to connect all Districts with Highways. "I" goes for Digitization and from Gram Panchayat to all Dept are being digitized, E-tendering is now mandatary. Tripura is already given with the 3rd Internet Gateway and State is rapidly transforming into IT-hub". CM further referred "R" for Railways citing various Express trains' names which were inaugurated in last few years claiming business have been boosted due to Express and frequent train services.

About Airways CM mentioned about ongoing International Terminal's construction and the renaming of Agartala Airport after visionary King Bir Bikram Manikya.

CM further pitched on Tripura will become Gateway of South East Asia soon, which will turn the state into a "business hub".  

"Serving men is serving the God and we are working with that ideology. Jobs will be given according to merit under Transparent Job Recruitment Policy. E-Tendering to be continued in govt Depts for transparency. 24X7 there will be police service and by just after dialing 100, police will rush to you. We are aimed to make Tripura Drug-free. I thank Tripura Police for their great jobs in catching the culprits behind drug business", CM added.

"We are lucky to have Prime Minister Narendra Modi as our leader who has visioned to make a 'New India' within 2020. Since four years under his Governance India has been moving towards a new direction and a New India is ahead".

"Under the Govt at Centre along with 7 more Northeast states known as Asta-Laxmi we are determined to make a 'New Tripura'. After 25 years of Left Govt, people have given us responsibility to develop the state", CM said. 

"With the help of Central Govt and utilizing the relation with neighboring country we will surely reach at our goal. Skilled and Corruption free administration is our main aim. Democracy is on top and there is no space for bias/partiality with anyone. We'll be working for people", he said.

Talking about Farmers' developmental planning, he said, "From Krishi-Bima 1 lakh farmers will be helped and Govt will assure that 150 % more incomes than the cost can be earned by the farmers".

"The country which worships women, that country will be developed surely", CM said mentioning about Dipa Karmakar and Nishtha Chakraborty's success in the Sports world. 

CM further referred PMAY, Ujjwala Yojna, 10 % reservation for women in Police Dept, planning about B.Ed College for women in Agartala, 1 lakh gas connections within last 100 days in Tripura under the present govt. 

CM also said within October 2nd, 2018 all houses will have "pakka toilets" in Tripura.
