Unemployed youths may knock High Court against Govt led cancellation of ‘Existing Recruitment Process’

AGARTALA, Aug 14 (TIWN): Unemployed youths, who were jolted with the sudden cancellation of ongoing recruitment process may knock High Court, various sources said. Not only a section of TCS job aspirants who were striving already in the High Court since the previous Govt’s time will re-knock the High Court but also police job aspirants are thinking to take law’s help to save their recruitment process. However, they have given 1 month to the BJP Govt for recruiting them. There are 1451 job aspirants of police who were given with tokens on April 9, 2017 saying that they will be soon provided with offer letters have been shocked with the Govt’s silence over their recruitment. They are unready to believe that the jobs they already got can be cancelled. They had given both written, physical and medical tests which is according to the new recruitment policy of the state govt. Addressing media, the job aspirants said, “In 2017 March 6 a notification was given by the Police Headquarter and an interview was proceeded. Centering that notification, we took preparation for 3 to 4 months covering physical and theory subjects. Written, physical, medical all tests we had passed”.

“On April 9, 2017 the interview had begun from Kanchanpur whereas on July 14 the recruitment was completed at the West District. Out of 25000 candidates, we passed the tests and finally we were said that within 6 months we will be provided with offer letters, but the previous Govt had delayed the issue and soon election date was declared”.

 “As election date was declared, so nothing was in our hand and after election ended we met new Chief Minister Biplab Deb three times and in each time he promised us that Govt will look into the matter soon. He didn’t tell us that our recruitment process will be cancelled”.

The job aspirants said that they are undergoing heavy mental pressures and they are on the verges of destroy their family’s hopes.

On August 3, Tripura cabinet had decided to introduce new recruitment process with the recently announced New Recruitment Policy, cancelling all the ongoing recruitment.

The decision led massive frustration as many candidates had already passed the whole interview and were waiting for appointment letter.

New Recruitment Policy (Taken on May 19, 2018) : BJP led Tripura Govt had introduced the much awaited video-recording system for viva tests in the job recruitment for govt departments in case of Group-A and Group-B, whereas Group-C and Group-D selection with be via only written exams, abolishing the viva interview process. 10 % can be kept for in Viva tests for any interview. Not, only this, the whole viva interviews should be Vidographed TPSC may also be set up for Group B, Group C, Group D recruitment excluding skill base jobs as driver, stenographer etc as separate ‘skill test’ along with written tests will be needed for those jobs. In case of Police, Jail dept, Fire Service also along with written tests, medical and other tests will be mandatory.

But the police aspirants said, they had faced written, physical and medical all types of tests.
