AGARTALA, July 19 (TIWN): Eventhough state BJP has claimed law and order is firmly established in Tripura and Chief Minister donned National media limelight after Biplab Deb said on July 4,2018 regarding Mob-lynching that “Tripura is reeling under Anand Ki Leher” but the Chief Minister on Wednesday (July 18) has nodded head in response to media queries on Law & Order saying, ‘Law and Order is not yet fixed in Tripura. Hence it need to be improved further’. However, the Chief Minister has dumped the blame upon the previous CPI-M and Govt Govt behind the lawless situation and drug peddling. CM was addressing media at Bodhjungnagar on wednesday, where he visited to check 265 acre of land for AIIMS hospital’s set up. He was asked by media regarding the law and order situation of the state.

Replying media questions CM said, “I would not say that law and order has been established in Tripura fully but a rapid development is happening. I can not fix the law and order in one day, as it was not deteriorated in one day but 35 years long misruling of previous Govts are responsible behind it”.

Tripura which has been suffering from various murders, mob-lynching is now all in all in National media. Tripura has been in national media limelight for wrong reasons many times under the Chief Minister Biplab Deb who assumed charge as the first BJP CM of Tripura on March 10. CM’s wrong saying in even on sensitive issues like mob-lynching as “Tripura is undergoing Anand Ki Leher”. This particular statement hit BJP’s image heavily.

Moreover Supreme Court on Tuesday in a verdict said that It’s the duty of the none other than states to establish “Rule of Law”.

CM further said, “Our Govt is working in that direction. The society is recovering from addiction in fast manner. Above 100 people have been arrested in drug-peddling in last four months. Above 20,000 kilo of ganja have been seized”.

“Ganja recovering has become a day to day issue. I feel very pity on the previous Chief Minister Manik Sarkar who has destroyed the whole state with lawless ganja cultivation. In his own area highest ganja was cultivated.Around 1 lakh Kg of ganja is produced in Tripura and this is due to 25 years long misruling. What Manik Sarkar has done it has crossed Satan’s misdeeds”.

On the other side, Supreme Court has condemned the mob-lynching asking the State Govts to maintain the law and order of states. Supreme Court also made it clear that it’s the duty of the State Govt to maintain law and order at there further asking the Parliament to draft a law to stop mob-lynching.
