UDAIPUR, July 16 (TIWN): After around 26 hours of passage, body of 36 years missing man Sanjib Sutradhar has been recovered at Udaipur Matabari lake Kalyan Sagar on Monday evening.
The body was automatically floated, at around 6 pm today evening.
Resident of Kalyanpur, Kunjaban’s Manipuri Para Sanjib Sutradhar on Sunday came at Matabari with his friends and allegedly drowned in this lake, however police is interrogating Sanjib's friends Chiranjit Singha and Binay Pal.
According to his friends, total 6 persons came together at Matabari and three of them were taking bath in Kalyan Sagar, the Matabari lake (Tripura Sundari temple lake) and three other friends were standing on the stairs.
But suddenly three of them felt something is stretching and anyhow two saved themselves from drowning but after they saved themselves from drowning it was found that Sanjib was missing, according to Sanjib’s friends statement.
On yesterday till night 11 pm searches continued and today morning again NDRF, police and administration have started searches.
At last his body was found 'lifeless' from Kalyansagar.
Thousands of people have gathered to see the dead body of Sanjib. Local MLA Biplab Ghosh, DM, SDM, SP, SDPO all are on spot.
Sanjib Sutradhar's body has been sent for post mortem.
