AGARTALA, June 13 (TIWN): Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) Exams which went through crucial Assembly election doldrums, shouting, miking, violence and tensions has resulted with 59.59 % passing rate, a sharp dropping from previous year’s 67.38 % passing rate. Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Wednesday before chairing in SCERT led meeting, announced an investigation committee will be formed today to find out the reason behind fall in the Madhyamik Exam results. Addressing media, Ratan Lal Nath said, “It has been found out, whether there was any "quality" in the state Education system in the previous year or not. I can’t do anything in 3 months but the reason behind the fall need to be spotted”.“I don’t know the reason behind such a pathetic result in Madhyamik examination. Within evening we will take the final decision. Chief Minister’s suggestion will be taken in this regard along with receiving advises from Educationists”, Nath added.

The Minister also said, Tripura schools teachers quantity and quality both are lacking. Throughout the schools a massive teachers crisis situation is being felt”, Nath added.

The TBSE result was published on Tuesday with 59.59 % passing rate, a heavy fall from last year’s 67.38 %.

Total 3,5926 students appeared in Madhyamik and the passed out students numbers are 21,408.

All together 17,503 male candidates appeared in the exam and 11.005 students passed. Passing percentage of male candidates is. 62.87 %

Total 18,423 female candidates appeared in the exam and 10,403 students have passed out. Passing percentage of male candidates is. 56.47 %.

 On girl  Mallika Debbarma, D/O-Raimohon Debbarma resident of Bisramganj under Sepahijala District hanged herself to death after getting exam results as she couldn’t manage pass marks.

In Mathematics results were worst.
