AGARTALA, June 12 (TIWN): Surrendered Tripura Terrorists formed various separatist outfits with the sole goal of spitting venom on majority Bengalis to attract media attention. Going two steps more aggressive than INPT's demand of NRC from 1951, divided IPFT named IPFT-Tipraha leaders today have demanded NRC should be launched from 1949, October 15th, the day Tripura was joined with India. Addressing in a press meet, IPFT leader Binay Debbarma said, "We demand the cancellation of the former pact (Indira-Mujib) and to begin a fresh NRC from 1949, when Tripura became a part of India. If the Govt of India can not implement NRC from 1949, we demand a separate Tipraland. The IPFT-Tipraha also mentioned, "According to 6th schedule, in ADC except state Tribals, nobody can get permanent settlements. So, we demand immediate cancellation of those settlements".
"Under Forest Act also many non-tribal people are enjoying the benefits. IPFT-Tipraha also demand the cancellation of them after review", Binay Debbarma said.
The IPFT Tipraha also opposed Citizenship Amendment Bill-2016 saying, "Tripura's population has been increased a lot. Citizenship Amendment Bill should be immediately cancelled to save Tripura".
"According 6th schedule, after 1984 no non-tribal can stay in ADC with permanent settlements. But it has been seen that since 1984 till day total 13,864 families got permanent citizenship. We want those illegal settlement's cancellation", he said.
"Forest Act is enjoying by many non-tribals and the numbers of such families are over 35,000. That should be cancelled", Binay Debbarma said.
The tribal leaders also announced to go in demonstration demanding justice for tribal victims. IPFT-Tipraha in addition slammed IPFT (main) President Minister NC Debbarma accusing him for fooling tribals after settling in Ministry and forgetting about "Tipraland".
