AGARTALA, May 28 (TIWN): Since the North-East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) meeting at Guwahati on May 20 was ended, fragile relation among BJP and IPFT was restored heavy violence among BJP and IPFT supporters in last month following BAC chairpersons appointments. There was no further protests regarding BCA chairmen appointments since the NEDA meeting held successfully led by National BJP president Amit Shah. Recently there were heavy clashes and tensions generated hatred among IPFT and BJP regarding seat sharing of various blocks in the state. The situation turned so pathetic that a long day meeting had been conducted by the IPFT leaders to decide whether the alliance should be continued or not. However before the NEDA meeting it was told media by IPFT President NC Debbarma that the alliance should be continued, but the IPFT had demanded a common policy for seat sharing.

It couldn’t be known whether the BJP had agreed to adapt any new policy on seat sharing or not, but there was no protest further by the IPFT.

At NEDA meeting Amit Shah made his stand clear that NEDA is meant to work for brining Northeast in the main stream, rather not to separate the states and lands.

Making central govt’s stand very clear  about NEDA functioing, Amit Shah said “The day NEDA was formed it paved the way of Northeastern development led by the BJP Govt. First the alliance was done in Assam, but for the whole Northeast’s development a common forum was needed and that is NEDA. NEDA is not only a regional or a political forum. Ofcourse politics comes here as the political leaders are sharing the dais, but today due to NEDA's huge contribution peace is being restored in the Northeast”.

Amit Shah also made another clear point about NEDA saying, “NEDA is also fighting against Algabad (separatist) and terrorism. The terror threats from Bangladesh, Myanmar like countries also have been resolved with NEDA's initiative”, Shah said.

However, till day there was no clash or tension among BJP-IPFT since the NEDA meeting but if it again start then the infightings to turn heavily upon the parties in the upcoming Lok Sabha Election, as already the aligned BJP-IPFT clashes hit the national media headlines, turning the alliance rather a ‘joke’ before the nation.
